Darjeeling, 14 October (Hindustan Reporter). The bungalow of Singtam tea garden manager was burnt to ashes on Sunday night due to fire. The bungalow was 104 years old.
According to sources, due to the fire in the said bungalow, the entire area was covered with black smoke. The incident was informed to the fire department. The fire was brought under control after hard work by the fire brigade personnel who reached the spot after receiving the information. The reason behind the fire was not clear till the time of writing this news. However, the primary estimate of fire personnel is that the accident occurred due to short circuit. The fire department is conducting a detailed investigation to find out the cause of the fire.
It is noteworthy that a few days ago the bungalow of the assistant manager of the tea garden also caught fire. In January this year, a fire broke out in the bungalow of 'National Research for Orchids' in Darjeeling. Due to which the bungalow was heavily damaged.
