100 quintals of paddy were purchased at the inauguration of Dhama Pax purchasing center in Raniganj.

Araria, 01 November (HS). On Friday, DM Anil Kumar and the present farmers jointly inaugurated the Pax purchasing center by cutting the ribbon at Dhama Pax purchasing center of Raniganj block.

While inaugurating the purchasing centre, the paddy of the farmers present was purchased through packs at the government support price. On the spot, DM Anil Kumar directed that more and more farmers should be registered and among them should come to the paddy purchasing center to sell the paddy. Awareness programs should be conducted. In this regard, information related to farmers' registration should be made available through banner hoardings at various places and the information related to registration and purchase should be updated from time to time.

Special instructions were given by the District Officer to purchase from small farmers on priority. District Cooperative Officer, Araria was instructed to ensure that all cooperative extension officers visit the Pax purchase center regularly. Also, any kind of difficulty arising in this sequence should be immediately informed. On the occasion of the inauguration, 100 quintals of paddy was procured from three local farmers. Apart from the DM, many government officials were present on the spot.
