The protesters have called for non-payment of taxes and bills. Protesters also attacked open offices and institutions on Sunday, including a hospital, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in Dhaka's Shahbagh area. Some crude bombs were exploded and gunfire was heard in Dhaka's Uttara area.
