Jaipur fire incident: A major accident took place in Bankrota, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Here a gas tanker suddenly caught fire and a terrible explosion occurred, in which many people were reported injured. There are reports of 7 deaths and 35 injuries in this tragedy.
An eyewitness of Jaipur fire said
An eyewitness to the accident said, ‘We were coming from Rajsamand to Jaipur. Suddenly there was an explosion very close to our bus. There was fire all around us. A fire broke out inside the bus also. When we tried to go out, we saw that the main gate was locked. So we broke the window and came out. 8 to 10 people came out with us. However, some people remained inside and some even got burnt.
The sound of the explosion was heard for 10 kilometers
The sound of the explosion was heard up to 10 kilometers away, leaving local residents horrified as to what had happened. The fire was so severe that many vehicles within a radius of 300 meters got caught in it and were completely burnt. Several fuel tanks burst causing repeated explosions. Eyewitnesses present at the scene said that the flames were visible even from a distance.
After the blast in the tanker, the chemical spread on the road for about 500 meters. Due to which many vehicles caught fire. A factory also got burnt due to chemicals.
The accident happened on Jaipur-Ajmer highway
The fire incident occurred at around 6 am on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway in Rajasthan. 20-22 fire tankers were deployed to control the fire, but even after two and a half hours the fire could not be completely controlled. From this it can be estimated how terrible the accident would have been. Many vehicles also caught fire. The scene of devastation spread up to one kilometer of the highway.
