Islamabad: On Thursday, terrorists attacked a post near Dera Ismail Khan city of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan and killed 10 policemen of Frontier Constabulary.
Police sources said that Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan (TTP) has openly claimed responsibility for the attack.
It is noteworthy that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, which was earlier known as Frontier Province, has not had any government for centuries. There, the hilly areas are ruled by tribal khans (chiefs). People also accept him as 'Sardar' and pay legal ransom. The people here are also not ready to accept the governments of the plains. However, the Pakistani government has established its own police posts in some areas. Which irritates the people there too. Similar situation exists in Balochistan. The mountainous region there is actually ruled by a group called the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA). They also do not accept the Islamabad government.
Three policemen have confessed to the attack. He said a large group of terrorists attacked the post and ransacked the post, killing 10 policemen of the Frontier Constabulary.
Regarding the attack, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandpur issued a statement condemning the attack. TTP also issued a statement saying that the attack was carried out in retaliation for the killing of their senior leader Ustad Qureshi by government forces.
This Qureshi was a resident of Bajaur district bordering Afghanistan.
Pakistan-based terrorist group TTP is separate from Afghanistan's terrorist group Taliban, it operates independently. But he remains in constant touch with the Afghan Taliban. When they are forced into slavery they go to Afghanistan. Where they also get shelter from Afghan Taliban. Afghanistan is a safe haven for Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan (TTP). However, the Afghan Taliban denies this.
Actually, Taliban was created by Pakistan itself, which has become Frankenstein and has turned against Pakistan.
