  • Tamarind fruit – lemon sized
  • Cumin
  • black pepper
  • green coriander
  • curry leaves
  • Oil
  • Mustard

What is the easiest way to make tamarind juice?

  • First of all soak the tamarind. Take a tamarind of the size of a large lemon and soak it in hot water.
  • Then take a mixer jar and add cumin and black pepper and grind it to make a powder.
  • Take out this ground spice and put it in a bowl.
  • Now prepare juice by squeezing the soaked tamarind. Let the juice thicken and add some water and squeeze it.
  • To make rasam, place a pan on the stove, add oil and let it heat.
  • Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, garlic and dry chillies in hot oil and fry.
  • After frying for 1 minute, add curry powder and mix.
  • Now add boiled tamarind water into it and also add ground cumin and chilli powder.
  • Now add half teaspoon turmeric powder to it.
  • Add salt to taste and mix until all the ingredients are combined.
