Ranchi, 26 October (Hindustan Reporter). During vehicle checking, FST recovered one lakh 91 thousand cash from a vehicle carrying a goat near Jingi garden on Chater Mod-Jingi main road in Kudu police station area of Lohardaga district. The goat traders did not present any valid documents regarding the cash amount before the FST. After this the team seized the amount and deposited it in the district treasury. After receiving the information, the Headquarters Deputy Superintendent of Police, Police Inspector and Police Station Incharge reached the spot and started investigation.
Under the leadership of FST magistrate Vishal Minj and police officer Pradeep Kachhap, a vehicle checking campaign was being conducted on the Chater Mod-Jingi main road. Meanwhile, a Tata Intra freighter Wahav (JH 01EE 0353) was stopped from Cairo for investigation. During vehicle check, four bundles of Rs 500 each were found in a black bag with a goat businessman traveling in the vehicle. No satisfactory answer was given regarding the cash amount. FST magistrate and police officer informed the matter to senior police officers, Headquarters Deputy Superintendent of Police Sameer Kumar Tirkey, Police Inspector Chandrashekhar Azad, BDO Pravesh Kumar Sao, Police Station Incharge Kuldeep Raj Toppo.
The officers who reached the spot informed the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and others about the matter. After this, the seized Rs 1 lakh 91 thousand was deposited in the district treasury. In the last three days during the assembly elections in the police station area, cash worth one lakh 91 thousand and ganja worth about Rs 15 lakh have been recovered.
