Hospital Deputy Superintendent Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, while flagging off the ambulance, said that under the National Child Health Programme, children are examined from time to time by doctors in Anganwadi centers and government schools, in which children suffering from heart disease are referred to the district. goes. After that, after processing the necessary documents, the surgery is done at Patna IGIC or Satya Sai Hospital in Ahmedabad.

He told that after the surgery, children suffering from serious heart disease will now get a new life. District Coordinator of National Child Health Program Ranjan Mishra said that 22 children have been sent to Patna in the month of November 2024. Heart surgery of all the children will be done at Sri Satya Sai Hospital, Ahmedabad. All the children and their parents will be taken by flight from Patna in the evening. A doctor is also accompanying them.

Civil Surgeon of the district, Dr. Vijay Kumar said that under the Chief Minister Bal Hriday Yojana, free treatment is provided to congenital heart patients. The patients are identified by the RBSK team. Later, the said patients are sent by ambulance to IGIMS Patna by the District Health Committee. Here the concerned patients are screened. If any problem is found, the patients are sent to Ahmedabad via flight and proper treatment, food and accommodation are provided to them.
