Kaithal, July 18 (HS). After the alliance of BJP and JJP broke in the state, there is a political tussle over the post of Zila Parishad President. Amidst this tussle, DC Prashant Panwar had called a meeting of the House for voting on July 19 to bring a no-confidence motion on the demand of BJP-supported Zila Parishad members. But even before this, the matter of the House meeting for the no-confidence motion reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. This information was given by the Zila Parishad President Deepak Malik alias Deep Jakholi in a press conference.
He said that Punjab and High Court have given permission for voting, but have put a stay on the declaration of the result till further decision. Now the result can be declared only after the permission of the High Court. The chairman told that earlier, after the alliance of both the parties broke in the state, 15 councilors supported by BJP had given an affidavit of no confidence against JJP. When a no-confidence motion came against them, the matter reached the High Court. After the hearing, the High Court did not refuse the voting for the no-confidence motion on July 19, but argued to wait for its decision to declare the result of the election.
Zila Parishad President Deepak Malik alias Deep Jakholi said on Thursday that the rules were not followed properly in bringing the no-confidence motion and issuing the notice. On this, the High Court has given him relief and issued a notice to the government to explain why the rules were not followed. The court has said that voting should be done, but the results should not be released until the case is decided by the High Court.
They demand that the administration postpone the voting program on Friday, so that when the case is finalized by the High Court, the entire process can be done together. Only 20 councilors have to cast their votes, so it is impossible to keep the voting confidential. Any member can come out and tell who has voted for. Or even if you go to vote in a group, it will be known. Employees on duty in the election can also reveal. Therefore, the administration and the DC are requested to postpone the voting and those who are dissatisfied should bring a proposal later by following the correct procedure. This notice has been brought as part of a political conspiracy and has been brought in a hurry. The government and the BJP want to capture Kaithal Zila Parishad. Out of the 21 councilors of the Zila Parishad, 15 are considered BJP and six JJP supporters. At present, the 15 BJP-supported councilors are said to be united against Deep.
