You can trust poisonous snakes but not BJP: Mamata

Addressing an election rally, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP of not following the Model Code of Conduct and said one can trust a poisonous snake but not the BJP.

Addressing a rally in Cooch Behar, Banerjee alleged that the central investigative agencies, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) were working at the behest of the BJP. He has appealed to the Election Commission to ensure that all political parties can contest elections in a free and fair manner.

He said that BJP is demanding re-nomination in the housing scheme. Why re-nominate? They want more nominations so that they can remove their names. You can trust poisonous snakes but you can never trust BJP. BJP is ruining the country.

Mamta said that her Trinamool will not be afraid of threats from central agencies. He has appealed to the women of Cooch Behar to lodge a complaint with the police if BSF soldiers are being harassed unfairly.

Mamata further said that while central investigative agencies, central forces including NIA, Income Tax, BSF and CISF are working for the BJP, the Election Commission should ensure that all political parties can contest elections in a free and fair manner.

On the other hand, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing an election rally in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, said that when the central government was sleeping on opium, Chinese soldiers entered Indian territory.
