Puwayan/ Shahjahanpur. A pregnant woman died under suspicious circumstances in Bhatpura Chandu village. His body was found in the animal enclosure. There was blood coming out of his ears and injury marks on his hands. The deceased’s maternal family has accused her in-laws of killing her. Whereas the in-laws say that the death occurred due to consumption of poisonous substance.
Jagir, resident of village Bhatpura Chandu of Puwayan police station area, was married in 2017 to 25-year-old Ruchi, resident of Kishan Haripur police station, Sehramau district, Pilibhit. Ruchi’s body was found in the animal tying room at 8 o’clock on Saturday night. The discovery of the dead body created a sensation and a crowd of villagers gathered. There was blood coming out of his ears and injury marks on his hands. She was five months pregnant. On receiving the information, the deceased’s father Bokaran Lal reached the daughter’s in-laws house along with the family members. He informed Puwayan police station. Inspector in-charge reached the spot with the force and gathered information.
The father of the deceased told that her in-laws used to taunt and harass his daughter for low dowry. Her husband used to beat her every day. The in-laws did not give any information but the people living in the neighborhood gave information over phone. The in-laws said that Ruchi committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in the animal-tying room. The deceased’s father has accused her in-laws of killing her. Police sends dead body for post-mortem. The inspector in charge said that no complaint has been received from the parents’ side. He said that the cause of death will be clear from the post mortem report. Police is investigating the matter.
