Prayagraj, 18 September (HS). Mehrunisha died on the spot after being hit by a dumper under Daraganj police station area of the city on Monday evening, while her sister Noor Bano narrowly escaped. The police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
According to the information received, Mehrunnisha (44) was a resident of Kushinagar and had come to meet her sister Noor Bano, who lives in Daraganj, Prayagraj. The accident happened near Alopibagh Devi Temple at around 5 pm when she was going to the market on a scooty with her sister. The Municipal Corporation’s dumper hit the scooter and Mehrunisha died on the spot.
After being hit by the dumper, even Mehrunisha’s intestines came out. Daraganj police reached the spot, somehow got the body removed from there and sent it for post-mortem. Daraganj police station in-charge says that the dumper driver has been arrested. The police will take further action in this matter after writing a report on the complaint of the family members.
