According to the ICC schedule, India has been placed in Group A of the Champions Trophy 2025, which also includes hosts Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh. According to that schedule, all the matches of Team India are to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Earlier, Pakistan had also hosted the 2023 Asia Cup, but Team India refused to cross the border. In such a situation, the ICC introduced a hybrid model under which all the matches of the Indian team were held in Sri Lanka. According to The Express Tribune, ICC discussed with BCCI about the Champions Trophy. But BCCI refused to send Team India to Pakistan. Most of the Champions Trophy matches can be played in Karachi and Dubai. Some matches can also be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi. But all the matches of the Indian team can be played in Dubai. Earlier, Team India did not even go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. The Indian team played all its matches in Sri Lanka.
