Jai Shankar said about the Ukraine visit that it was very detailed, open and constructive. The talks focused to some extent on situations like military situation, deficit and energy security and the possibility of peace. India wants to continue participation in the Ukraine Global Peace Conference.

India believes that both Ukraine and Russia should start talking to each other for reconciliation. The Foreign Minister also said that both leaders should cooperate to respect territorial integrity and uphold the principles of international law to protect the country's sovereignty.
