On completion of 25 years of Jamnagar Refinery, Isha Ambani-Piramal, Director, Reliance Industries Limited, gave an emotional address to the employees and their families who gathered to celebrate the milestone.
The event commemorates a visit to one of the largest and most complex refineries in the world. One project envisioned by Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani and kept alive by the steadfast leadership of Mukesh Ambani is the Jamnagar Refinery. Addressing the audience, Isha Ambani-Piramal expressed her personal connection with the refinery and its legacy. “Today we are celebrating 25 years of Jamnagar. I still feel my grandfather’s presence here and miss him very much. This was his cherished dream, a dream that lives on in his heart. He would have been proud to see what Jamnagar has become today, he said proudly.
For Mukesh Ambani, nothing is bigger than his father’s dreams.
Isha reflected her father Mukesh Ambani and highlighted her unwavering dedication towards fulfilling her father’s dream. “I saw my father’s complete dedication to making his dream come true. My father Mukeshbhai Ambani was a visionary, flexible and determined man for whom there is no duty greater than dependence. For whom there is nothing greater than their father’s dream and for whom their value, every decision, every effort and every victory, is their direction.” He expressed admiration for his leadership and personal ethics.
After the transformation, Jamnagar came to be known as heaven.
Isha also spoke warmly about the transformation of Jamnagar and called it heaven. Recalling his childhood memories, he shared, “I still remember coming here with my mother when she started building this township on the barren land and later transformed it into a green, lush and beautiful township. “Had seen the tireless efforts to change the situation.” Jamnagar Refinery has over the years become a symbol of India’s industrial might and innovation, contributing significantly to the country’s energy security and economic growth.
