Who is the mysterious man?

In the final match of Asia Cup 2023, Team India managed to win the title for the eighth time by defeating Sri Lanka. The match saw a one-sided performance by the Indian team and the match ended very quickly. After this brilliant performance of the team, captain Rohit Sharma also won everyone’s hearts with his single step. After lifting the Asia Cup trophy, Rohit handed over the trophy to throw down specialist Raghu alias Raghavendra, who is part of the team’s support staff, during the celebrations.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma called Raghu on the stage during the celebration with the trophy. After this he handed the trophy to Raghu and along with all the players he also celebrated this title victory. Raghu is one of the support staff members who is often seen doing his work behind the scenes.

Raghu is a very important member of the support staff of Team India.

Talking about Raghavendra alias Raghu, he is a throw down specialist who used to throw the ball at high speed during net practice so that the batsmen could prepare themselves against the fast bowlers. Raghu joined the support staff of Team India during the Australia tour in 2011–12. After this, he was again included in the support staff for the England tour in 2014 and since then he has been a part of the team.

The credit for including Raghu in the support staff of Team India is given to Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. When Raghu was at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, he made Sachin and Dravid practice. After this, due to the recommendation of these two, it was decided to make Raghu a part of the support staff.
