
Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The dates of Lok Sabha elections have been announced. This time general elections will be held in 7 phases. The first phase will be held on 19th April and the last phase on 1st June. Counting of votes will take place on June 4 and election results will be declared on the same day.
In view of the Lok Sabha elections, for the convenience of the electoral parties as well as the general public, the Election Commission has created many apps and portals which prove to be helpful for the electoral parties as well as the voters. KYC or Know Your Candidate App
KYC app has been created to help the general public, in which voters get information related to the candidates contesting the elections. Election Commission releases Know Your Candidate App in 2022. All the details related to the candidates and their criminal background are available in this app of Election Commission. You can download this app from Android and iOS platforms.
In KYC app you can see candidate's name, father/husband, party, age, gender, address, state, assembly/lok sabha information. Apart from this, the affidavit filed at the time of nomination of the candidate is also uploaded in this app. With its help, voters can directly get the information given in the affidavit of the candidate.
Candidate's education and property information is also available on this app. In this you can also see the details of total income and assets of the candidates. If you want to know the criminal background of any candidate, you can know by going to the red highlighted box visible in the app. During Lok Sabha or Assembly elections, information about candidates for every seat is uploaded to the app.
Apart from this, information about all nominations, accepted nominations, canceled nominations and candidates who withdrew their candidature during the election has also been uploaded in it. Through this app you can know everything about your candidate.
cvigil app
To ensure that the code of conduct is not violated during election days, the Election Commission has launched the CVigil app. The app was first used during the Karnataka Assembly elections in May 2019. Since then this app is being used continuously. With the help of this app, you can send any election related complaint to the Election Commission. The app itself is pretty special, promising updates within a few hours.
If you lodge a complaint, through this app you are promised a status report within 100 minutes. Additionally, you are also given the facility to report code of conduct violations by taking photos/audio/video from mobile phone by signing in through the app within the election limits.
In this app you do not need to enter your personal information to lodge a complaint. Users can lodge their complaints anonymously in the app. In this app you have also been given the facility of geo tagging. In such a situation, you turn on the app's camera to report a violation, geo-tagging is automatically enabled. With this the Commission will be able to know the exact location of the incident.
Suvidha Candidate Portal and App
Sujija is an online portal and app, which facilitates all types of permissions for meetings, rallies, vehicles, loudspeakers and more. Facilitation Candidate App is a mobile application developed by the Election Commission of India, designed to assist candidates in the nomination and clearance process during the election period. This app can be downloaded from both Android and iOS platforms.

After logging in candidates can check the status of their nomination and permission. Through this app you can also see the list of permissions required for promotion. Through this you can track the status of your permission application.
