What is Blue Aadhaar Card?

Similar to the regular Aadhar card, Blue Aadhar card is also an essential document issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Blue Aadhar Card is issued specifically for children below five years of age and is commonly known as Child Aadhar Card. Unlike the regular Aadhaar card, the blue Aadhaar card does not include biometric features like fingerprint impressions. The color of Blue Aadhar Card is different from Regular Aadhar Card, Regular Card is white and Blue Aadhar Card color is blue or navy.

How to apply for blue aadhaar card?

To get a Blue Aadhar Card, you will have to go to the official website of UIDAI www.uidai.gov.in. After reaching there, click on the link of Aadhar Card and a new tab will open. Here you have to enter the child's name, phone number and email ID. After this, give the complete address where the child was born. Submit the form, and then you have to visit the nearest UIDAI center for the offline verification process. It is important to note that there is no fee to obtain the Blue Aadhaar Card.
