Meteorologists say that a cyclonic circulation is located over Western Vidarbha and surrounding areas and extends up to 1.5 km above sea level. A trough extended from Jharkhand through Odisha to north coastal Andhra Pradesh up to 0.9 km above sea level. A trough air discontinuity extends from south Tamil Nadu through interior Karnataka to the cyclonic circulation over western Vidarbha and adjoining areas up to 0.9 km above sea level. Due to this effect it is raining across the state.
