Kolkata, 07 December (HS). The weather is likely to remain mainly clear in metropolitan Kolkata till the weekend. The maximum temperature can be around 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature can be around 16 degrees Celsius. In a statement issued by the Meteorological Department on Saturday, it has been said that the maximum temperature recorded in the morning was 28 degrees Celsius, which is 0.1 degree less than normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was 16.5 degrees Celsius, which is 0.1 degree less than normal.
The humidity level in the air was recorded at 97 percent in the morning, while it dropped to 42 percent during the day. There has been no rain in the last 24 hours, and no rain has been recorded since 8:30 am the previous day.
The weather is likely to remain dry in other districts of the state also. In hilly areas like Darjeeling and Kalimpong, slight cold can be felt in the morning. The minimum temperature is expected to be between 10-12 degrees Celsius. Day temperatures in districts like Malda, Murshidabad, and Nadia may remain between 25-28 degrees Celsius.
South Bengal districts like Howrah, Hooghly, and North 24 Parganas will also have clear weather. The minimum temperature in these districts can be between 15-17 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature can be around 27-29 degrees Celsius. Light cold may be felt in the Sundarban region in the morning, but the temperature will remain normal during the day.
The Meteorological Department has said that there is no possibility of rain in any part of the state during the next 24 hours. Overall, Kolkata and entire West Bengal will have clear and cool weather, providing a chance to enjoy the early days of winter.
