Israel Gaza War: The Israeli army achieved a major success in the year-long Israel-Hamas war and on October 17, it killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in an airstrike. This has been confirmed by the country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He addressed the nation after announcing the death of Hamas's most dreaded leader. He said that we have eliminated evil, but the work is not complete yet. We did as we promised, we will kill the leader of Hamas. This is an important moment for us during the fight.

In his address, the Israeli Prime Minister described the release of hostages as his highest commitment. He said that we will continue to work with full force till he returns home. Apart from this, the Prime Minister also gave a message to the people of Gaza.

Netanyahu said that Sinwar has ruined your life. He told you he was a lion, but in reality he was hiding in a cave and when he got scared and ran away from us the soldiers killed him. The Jewish leader described Sinwar's death as the downfall of Hamas' misrule and an important milestone for Israel.

Yahya Sinwar is considered to be the mastermind behind the attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7, 2023 last year. In this connection, on October 17, Israel had killed three people including one Sinwar. This was confirmed when the Israeli army matched the DNA of the Hamas leader. Yahya Sinwar was the head of the terrorist organization Hamas. He took over as head of Hamas after Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas, was killed in an explosion in Iran during the war with Israel. Sinwar was born in a Gaza refugee camp in 1962. He was associated with Hamas since its early days.
