Gorakhpur, August 12 (HS). Four volunteers were recently selected from the National Service Scheme of Deendayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University to participate in the Independence Day celebrations 2024. All these volunteers will participate in various programs to be held in Delhi on Independence Day. On this achievement of the volunteers, Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon bid farewell to all the volunteers with best wishes and wished them a bright future.
It is noteworthy to mention here that under the program named Meri Mati Mera Desh, two excellent volunteers Akash Kumar and Yashi Srivastava, who built Amrit Vatika, were selected and two of the students registered on My Bharat Portal who have participated in the Student Police Experiential Program, Krishna Kumar Mishra and Akanksha Rai, along with one of their parents, have got the opportunity to participate in the Independence Day celebrations 2024 on behalf of the National Service Scheme.
Giving the above information, NSS coordinator Dr. Satyapal Singh said that it is very encouraging for the volunteers of the university that they have been selected to participate in Independence Day. This is the first time that volunteers have been called to Delhi to participate in various programs on Independence Day. The team of officials related to the program will receive these volunteers from the railway station itself and take them to their destination. Arrangements have been made for the stay of these volunteers in Hotel International and Hotel Star. These volunteers will return on August 16 after participating in the three-day long Independence Day programs.
