Vande Bharat: Avadhanagari Lucknow will soon be connected to Tajnagari Agra through fast rail network like Vande Bharat Express. North Eastern Railway and North Central Railway will jointly conduct route survey for the operation of Vande Bharat Express. For this, officials associated with the operations of both the zonal headquarters have been contacted.
Railways is preparing to run Vande Bharat Express train from Gorakhpur to Agra Fort via Aishbagh. North Eastern Railway has also proposed the number of Vande Bharat Express in its zone. North Eastern Railway has proposed to run Gorakhpur-Agra Vande Bharat with number 22583 and in the return journey with number 22584.
The possible route of this train will be via Barabanki-Aishbagh-Kanpur Central. Route survey will be conducted to decide the time table and its report will be prepared soon. Approval to run Agra Vande Bharat Express may be given in the meeting of the Time Table Committee of IRCTC.
There is a discussion going on among the Railways whether this train will be AC chair car or sleeper. According to a senior Railway Board official, a letter has been written to the Rail Coach Factory for allotment of sleeper racks. In such a situation, it is expected that it will be Vande Bharat with sleeper seats. Due to Lok Sabha elections, code of conduct is currently in place. In such a situation, this Vande Bharat Express can run after the elections in July.
