NRI UPI Payments- Now Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) will be able to use UPI for payments through international mobile numbers while abroad. Earlier they needed an Indian mobile number to make payments through UPI.

Many NRIs find it difficult to use different numbers. This information has been given by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). Now NRIs from 10 countries will be able to use UPI for payments through their Non-Resident External (NRE) or Non-Resident Ordinary (NRO) accounts.

For this, their international mobile number must be linked to these accounts. Earlier, NRIs had to keep an Indian mobile number active abroad to use UPI.
