Big news has come out from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. Here a drunken man killed five members of his own family. Then he committed suicide by shooting himself. The incident took place in Palhapur village of Rampur Mathura police station area. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. All the bodies have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
The incident happened early in the morning
Sitapur SP Chakresh Mishra said that 45 year old Anurag Singh was mentally weak. He was addicted to alcohol. He killed five members of his own family. Then he committed suicide. Anurag killed his wife with a hammer and shot his mother. After this, 3 children were thrown down from the roof. After killing all these 5 people, he committed suicide by shooting himself. The deceased include Anurag himself, his 65-year-old mother Savitri, his 40-year-old wife and three children (aged 12, 9 and 6). Anurag carried out this incident early in the morning. Neighbors reached there after hearing screams from the house. He informed the police.

According to the police, neighbors told that Anurag was a drug dealer. The family wanted to take him to a de-addiction centre, a dispute broke out at night. After this, at five in the morning Anurag committed this dreadful incident. Heavy police force including officers is deployed at the spot. The forensic team is busy collecting evidence from the spot. On the other hand, after the incident, there is an atmosphere of fear in the entire area. There is a gathering of people outside the incident site. The police do not allow anyone near the house.
