Lucknow, 27 August (HS). Industrial Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi also participated in the cabinet meeting held at Lok Bhawan on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
After the cabinet meeting, Minister Nandi said that it was decided in the meeting to open the box of incentives for ultra mega units investing in Uttar Pradesh. It was decided in the cabinet meeting that if a company invests more than 3000 crores at different places in the state and the company applies for incentives, then considering the investment of the company as integrated, such company will be given the facilities of a customized package. Under which M/s Avaada Electro Private Limited will be given the benefit of a customized package.
Minister Nandi informed that M/s Avada Electro Private Limited will produce solar ingot-wafer, solar cell and solar module in a 5 Giga Watt integrated solar manufacturing unit in Uttar Pradesh. M/s Avada Electro Private Limited has been offered a total investment of Rs 11,399 crore in the proposed project. 150 acres of land is required for the project. Out of which 50 acres is available in Greater Noida (Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad area) and 100 acres in Hathras (Western region).
Minister Nandi informed that provision of incentives has been made on case to case basis under Uttar Pradesh Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy 2022. This incentive will be provided to Alta Mega category projects of special importance (projects worth more than Rs 3000 crore) as a customized package on case to case basis as far as possible. In the same sequence, an investment of more than Rs 11,399 crore has been proposed in the solar sector in Greater Noida and Hathras by M/s Awarda Electro Private Limited. In this investment, a five giga watt integrated solar manufacturing unit will be set up. In which solar in got wafer, solar cell and solar module will be produced. For this, 50 acres of land will be made available in Greater Noida and 100 acres of land in Hathras. 4500 jobs will be created in this two-phase project. The company will set up a solar power production unit in Bundelkhand.
In the detailed project report, the applicant unit has invested Rs 3054 crore for solar energy unit, Rs 20 crore for centre of excellence and Rs 40 crore for in-house research. Since the unit is investing in different places, the cabinet has given approval to these projects on a case to case basis by considering them as one project.
