Unusual: 82.2 cm temperature was recorded in a city of Iran on August 28 | News India

New Delhi: On August 28, a temperature of 82.2 degrees was recorded at Darestan Airport, located a short distance from the coast of South Iran. According to reports, if this information is true, then this temperature will be the highest ever recorded on Earth. Earlier, a temperature of 36.1 cm was recorded once.

The US National Weather Service said that on August 28 at 10:30 am, the weather office there said that the temperature at the Dreston airport was only 38.8 degrees Celsius. Whereas between 1 and 2 pm the mercury reached this height. Meteorologists say that one reason for this could also be the increased humidity in the atmosphere. At that time the humidity in the air had reached 85 percent.

The surprising thing is that usually when the humidity increases the temperature goes down, but here the situation was 'reverse'.

Another thing that needs to be mentioned here is that when the body temperature increases due to heat, sweating occurs. After sweating, it goes deep into the air, which reduces the body temperature. In such a situation, sweat breaks out to protect the human or animal. But with heat, if the humidity in the air is too high, then the sweat does not evaporate immediately. So embarrassment occurs.

Experts say that the high temperatures recorded in Iran have led to queues of people suffering from heat stroke in hospitals. It should also be remembered that such a high temperature recorded on August 28 reflects the deteriorating situation in the 'Global South'. It is also feared that the 'heatwave' in that region is intensifying. Not only this, but it continues for a long time and comes again and again.
