Unfit Nadal, busy preparing for Wales Masters, withdraws from Qatar Open

Clay court king Rafael Nadal has decided to withdraw from the Qatar Open tennis tournament to be played in Doha after suffering from injury for a long time. Nadal said he is still not fully fit for competitive tennis. Nadal is now busy preparing for an exhibition match against Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz in Las Vegas and the Indian Wells Masters ATP tournament in March. Former number one Nadal Thapa has been struggling with injury problems, which has ruled him out of most tournaments in 2023, including the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. The Spaniard returned to the court at the Brisbane Open in January this year but lost to Jordan Thompson in the quarter-finals. He suffered another injury in this tournament due to which he had to be ruled out of the Australian Open Grand Slam. After this he did not play any match.
