Two thieves arrested from inter-state gang involved in buying and selling stolen and fake financed vehicles | News India

Ghaziabad, August 13 (HS). Crime Branch Police on Tuesday busted an interstate gang involved in buying and selling stolen vehicles on fake finance. Police have arrested two members of the gang. Three luxury four wheelers stolen and on fake finance have been recovered from their possession.

ADCP Sachidanand said that the accused include Rajiv, a resident of Meerut, and Sanjay Bhati, a resident of Gautam Buddh Nagar. On interrogation, accused Sanjay Bhati said that he is 12th pass and has a workshop in Noida, where he has been doing the work of denting and painting of vehicles for the last 10-12 years. Five people work in his workshop. Earlier, he used to work for Arun Mistry. He has been doing the work of buying and selling vehicles from his garage for the last 2 years. A few years ago, his elder son met with an accident and has undergone 5 brain operations. A lot of money had been spent on his treatment and his plot was also sold and he was in debt. About two years ago, he came in contact with broker Rajiv in connection with getting the documents of the vehicle made in the RTO office in Noida. Rajiv told him that he is in contact with boys who steal vehicles and give vehicles on fake finance, from whom he takes the vehicle and sells it by telling people that there will be a settlement from the car finance company and by getting fake documents made. There is a lot of profit in this work. Impressed by Rajiv's words, Sanjay Bhati also started doing this work.
