On Wednesday, the Shalimar Garden police team arrested two notorious criminals who claimed to be members of the Pasa Gang of Delhi and threatened to kill a doctor of a multi-specialty hospital over the phone and demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh. Two mobile phones used in the incident have been recovered from their possession.
DCP Nimish Patil said that at the Shalimar Garden police station, the plaintiff Dr. Mohd. Sartaj Khan, resident of Shalimar Garden Ex-One, Ghaziabad had lodged a report regarding an unknown person claiming to be a member of the Pasa Gang of Delhi and threatening to kill him and demanding a ransom/extortion of Rs 20 lakh. A team was formed to uncover the matter. On the basis of manual input, surveillance and informer's information, today two vicious criminals Javed Ali alias Saif Khan resident Ganeshpuri Shalimar Garden Ex-2 and Faheem Ansari resident Kanchandin Mugma East India Kapasara Dhan Grih Police Station Nirsa Jharkhand, who had demanded extortion from the doctor of Multi Specialty Hospital, were arrested. 02 mobile phones used in the incident were recovered from their possession.
On interrogation, one of the accused Javed said that I was treated by Dr. Sartaj Khan. During the treatment, I saw that Dr. Sartaj Khan has a clinic for physiotherapy and a multi-specialist hospital from which the doctor earns a good income. Due to my illness, I had a debt of about 10-12 lakh rupees. To pay off my debt, I along with Faheem threatened to kill Dr. Sartaj Khan and demanded a ransom of 20 lakh rupees.
