Saharanpur: A painful road accident took place on Friday morning in Nagal police station area of Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Here, an uncontrolled truck laden with ballast overturned on an under-construction bridge. In this horrific accident, three people traveling on the truck were crushed to death, while two others were seriously injured. As soon as the information was received, the police force reached the spot and started the rescue operation.
The truck was going for the road under construction
According to the information, the truck was going from Mirzapur police station area towards Khedamugal. It was loaded with ballast for the road under construction. As soon as the truck reached near the under-construction bridge under Police Station Nagal area, it suddenly became unbalanced and overturned. As soon as the truck overturned, the entire ballast scattered on the road and the people riding on it got buried under it.
Despite rescue, life was not saved, driver absconding
After the accident, local people and police reached the spot after hearing the screams. The people buried under the ballast were pulled out after much effort and immediately sent to the hospital. However, the injuries were so severe that three people died before reaching the hospital.
Police have checked the documents of the truck, which have been found to be correct. Immediately after the accident, the driver of the truck fled from the spot, police teams are conducting raids to arrest him.
Identification of the dead and injured
All the victims of the accident are said to be residents of Mirzapur police station area.
Deceased: Asghar (son Niki), Istkar (son Ashfaq) and Shokeen (son Haroon). All the villages were residents of Jatwala.
Injured: Gulfam (son Noor Hassan) and Karmaveer (son Raj). Both the injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital, where their condition remains critical.
Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and have started a detailed investigation into the case.
