Lucknow, 03 August (HS). A truck loaded with potatoes overturned on Kisan Path Ring Road in Sarojini Nagar police station area on Saturday morning. After this, the truck caught fire. The truck driver is safe. Police reached the spot after getting the information and extinguished the fire.
Police station in-charge Shailendra Giri said that it was learned from truck driver Vinod that he was driving a truck loaded with potatoes. On the ring road of Kisan Path, he suddenly lost control of the steering and the truck went out of control and overturned. The truck caught fire, the driver saved his life by jumping. On receiving the information, the fire brigade vehicle reached the spot and extinguished the fire. Fire officer Sumit Pratap said that it took about 20 to 30 minutes for the fire fighters to extinguish the fire. The truck was burnt to ashes. The driver suffered minor injuries.
