Koderma, 24 August (HS). Based on the information received by Koderma SP Anudeep Singh, a truck carrying smuggled animals has been seized. There was information that animals were being smuggled illegally in a truck through Koderma police station area. This was given to Koderma police station in-charge Sujit Kumar for verification and necessary action. In the light of the instructions, a raid team was formed under his leadership.
Taking immediate action, the constituted team confiscated 50 buffaloes loaded in a truck near Baghitad check post under the police station and also arrested 2 accused. The animals were loaded in the truck from Bihar and were headed towards Bengal. The arrested people include Baleshwar Prasad (35) and cattle owner Virendra Prasad (40).
