Dhanbad, 1 August (HS). Dhanbad police, in a completely filmy style, has caught three criminals who kidnapped a person for ransom along with the ransom money, weapons, car and other items. Not only this, the police also rescued the kidnapped person safely from the clutches of the kidnappers. Giving information in this regard, DSP 02 Sandeep Gupta said that on Wednesday, July 31, at around 11 pm, Sanjay Mandal, a resident of Kalubdhan OP of Dhanbad, was going from Jamtara to Maharajganj under Tundi police station via Chaldhawa in his car. During that time, unknown criminals kidnapped Sanjay Mandal along with his car near Kashitand and kept him hostage in the jungle of Patkol.
After this, the kidnappers called the family members of Sanjay Mandal from his mobile phone and pressured them to pay a ransom of Rs. 10 lakh. After which, the family members of Sanjay Mandal, out of fear, gave a ransom of Rs. 2 lakh to the kidnappers and gave full information about this to Dhanbad's Senior Superintendent of Police Hardeep P. Janardan.
After this, on the instructions of SSP, Deputy Superintendent of Police 02 Sandeep Gupta formed a special team and surrounded the Patkol forest from all sides. After this, seeing themselves surrounded by armed forces, the kidnappers tried to escape by leaving the kidnapped person Sanjay Mandal along with his car there, but the armed forces arrested three kidnappers from the spot, while one criminal managed to escape from the spot. The arrested kidnappers include Hakim Sah, resident of Tundi, Sikandar Sah alias Afzar Tiger alias Bulu Tiger, resident of Govindpur and Afzal Sah, resident of Tundi. The name of the absconding criminal is being told as Amjad Sah, resident of Tundi. Police have recovered two motorcycles, one air gun, two mobile phones and one lakh 31 thousand rupees in cash from them.
