Tokyo/New Delhi: Representatives of the Quad group comprising India, Australia, Japan and the US, in an official statement issued on the last day of their conference yesterday (Monday), have clearly warned China to stop its aggression in the South China Sea and the East China Sea. Along with this, Pakistan has also been requested to strictly suppress the terrorist organizations active on its soil. In this conference of foreign ministers of the Quad countries being held in Tokyo, all member countries have now been requested to be prepared instead of silently refusing. Although the name of Pakistan was not specifically mentioned in the conference, it was said that groups like Al-Qaeda, ISIS, Daesh, Lashkar-e-Taiba Jaish-e-Mohammed active on the country's soil should use all their strength to suppress them.
Apart from this, the Quad countries expressed concern over the war in Gaza and Ukraine and requested joint efforts to establish peace there.
India's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar was present on behalf of India at this conference, in fact he played an important role in preparing the joint statement.
