On Sunday, Mehbooba Mufti said, ‘Hindus are being tortured in Bangladesh, if minorities are being tortured in India too, then what is the difference between India and Bangladesh? I don’t see any difference between India and Bangladesh.
Mehbooba Mufti’s controversial statement has come to light in the protests against Hindu saint Chinmoy Krishna Das in Bangladesh. On the controversy over Sambhal Masjid survey, Mehbooba Mufti said, ‘The incident in Sambhal is very unfortunate. Some people were working in shops and were shot. People of all religions offer prayers at Ajmer Sharif Dargah. They are also digging there and trying to find a temple, which is the biggest example of brotherhood.
Mehbooba claimed, ‘The country is going back to the situation of 1947. When youth talk about jobs, they do not get jobs. We don’t have good hospitals or proper education. They (government) cannot improve the condition of the road, but efforts are being made to demolish the mosque to find a temple.
