USA Action On Pak Missile Project: The US State Department has taken a big decision against Pakistan yesterday. The spokesperson of this department, Matthew Miller, said that their aggressive stance against Pakistan remains intact. The US has banned China's help in Pakistan's ballistic missile project.
It is noteworthy that the US has imposed sanctions on those Chinese companies that are supplying Pakistan's ballistic missile program. There has been no response from Pakistan on this decision of the US.
Five Chinese companies and one individual were prosecuted
The US State Department has taken action against five Chinese companies and one individual involved in Pakistan's ballistic missile project and technology dissemination. According to US State Department Order 13382, the US is keeping a close watch on the Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machine Building Industry (RIAMB). The company works on means of transmission and delivery of weapons of mass destruction.
These companies should be banned
State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said RIAMB has assisted Pakistan with equipment related to the Shaheen-3 and Ababil systems. The US says the company has worked with Pakistan to buy equipment to test rocket motors for the Pakistani missile project. Chinese companies Hubei Huachangda Intelligent Equipment Co., Universal Enterprise and Xi'an Longde Technology Development Co., as well as Pakistan-based Innovative Equipment, have also been sanctioned. The sanctions also include a Chinese national accused of helping deliver the equipment to China.
What did China say on this action of America?
The US has said that it will continue to take action against Pakistan's ballistic missile project, no matter from where it is being launched in the world. On the other hand, China has opposed these sanctions imposed by the US. Chinese Embassy spokesman Liu Pengyu in the US said, “China strongly opposes such unilateral sanctions, such sanctions have no basis in international law or the authority of the US Security Council.” Beijing will always firmly protect the interests of Chinese companies and people.
