Indian Railways has presented such a wonderful example, which has deepened the definition of humanity. In Maharashtra, the train was moved in reverse by more than half a kilometer to save a passenger who fell from the Tapovan Express train. However, sadly, the injured passenger, whom the Railways tried so hard to save, died during treatment at the hospital.

What was the matter?

The case is of Manmad Junction in Maharashtra, where 30-year-old Sarwar Sheikh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, fell from the Tapovan Express. The incident occurred around 11 am on Saturday morning. According to reports, a passenger present in the train had pulled the emergency chain. Train guard SS Kadam interrogated the passengers and got information that a young man had fallen from the third coach.

Railways showed readiness

After the incident, Guard Kadam contacted the train’s loco pilot MS Alam. Alam immediately took permission from the controller and decided to take the train back to search for the injured passenger. During this process, Railways ensured that the operation of any other train was not affected.

goods train stopped

A goods train coming behind the Tapovan Express was stopped one station in advance, so that the way for the Tapovan Express could be cleared in reverse. Sarwar Sheikh was found with the help of other passengers present in the train. After this the train returned to Manmad Junction, where the railway authorities had already made arrangements for an ambulance.

Could not save life in hospital

Sarwar Shaikh was immediately sent to the hospital through ambulance. But doctors could not save him due to serious injuries. However, this humanitarian effort of Railways has once again shown that nothing is greater than humanity.

Passenger safety priority

According to railway officials, the incident caused a temporary impact on the operation of other trains, but this step was taken giving priority to human life. Divisional Railway Manager Iti Pandey said that the loco pilot and other railway employees did a commendable job by taking immediate decisions.
