To increase the quality of education in government inter colleges affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) and to keep a close eye on educational activities, the pilot project of online monitoring of Government Inter Colleges (GIC) of Prayagraj division has started. It was jointly started by Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mahendra Dev and Joint Director of Education Prayagraj Division Dibyakant Shukla on Saturday.
A modern control room has been set up in the office of the Joint Director of Education for online monitoring of the educational activities of 150 government inter colleges of Prayagraj division. Online monitoring of 150 government inter colleges of four districts of the division, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur and Kaushambi, has been started from the control room. In this, 35 government inter colleges of Prayagraj, 25 of Kaushambi, 47 of Fatehpur and 43 of Pratapgarh are being monitored.
The classrooms of these schools are being monitored directly from the control room set up in the Joint Director of Education Secondary Office. This will reveal whether teachers are teaching in schools or not. Along with this, other activities going on in schools will also be known. Education officers will now be able to monitor schools without physical visits using technology.
On this occasion, Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mahendra Dev said that the children studying in government inter colleges are brilliant. They just need proper guidance. Efforts are being made to ensure that there is no lack of skills. For this purpose, this online monitoring system has been started. It requires the cooperation of parents and teachers. He said that we will also appeal to retired teachers to come and teach in our schools. The efforts made in Prayagraj division are commendable. Preparations will be made to implement it in the entire state. He said that we will also take its feedback. The effort is that all our schools should be in front of the camera. He said that there are 2300 government inter colleges in the state. By December, all government inter colleges will be connected to the online monitoring system.
Joint Director of Education Dibyakant Shukla said that in the second phase, the aided schools and unaided schools of the Mandal will also be included in this campaign soon, due to which 360 aided schools of the Mandal will also be connected to it. Through this, studies in the classes will be monitored online. He said that online monitoring of classes is being done only to improve the level of education.
Dibyakant Shukla, who was the secretary of the UP Board, said that the special thing about this project is that there is no extra expense in this campaign. The UP Board had installed CCTV cameras in schools for monitoring during the board exams. With the help of those cameras, the classes were monitored during the exams. Now with the help of those cameras, the studies going on in the classes are also being monitored online. He expressed hope that with its use, the quality of education in secondary schools will definitely improve.
On the other hand, Dr. Hariprakash Yadav, the patron of UP Secondary Teachers Association (Ekti), welcomed JD Dibyakant Shukla by giving him a bouquet for monitoring the government inter colleges online. He said that as the secretary of UP Board, Shri Shukla has created a new record by conducting the examination in a transparent manner without any cheating and by declaring the result quickly.
