Their demand is that till the BDO is not removed from the block, their dharna will continue. When BDO Monika Pathak was posted in Sirauli Gauspur, there too the Pradhans had staged a sit-in demanding her removal. From there she was sent to Harakh, but there too after a few days the Pradhans started a sit-in by submitting a memorandum demanding her removal. From there she was posted in Ramnagar, but after a month here too the Pradhans started a sit-in demanding her removal by accusing her of bribery and harassment. The Pradhans are adamant on their demands since Tuesday morning. The Pradhans say that from where will they give the commission in advance. He should be removed. The SDM also held talks with him sitting in the BDO's room and returned.
The demands of the Pradhans included stopping commission-grabbing in the development block, curbing corruption, ending the MNREGA contracting system, getting FTOs made for MNREGA's permanent works in sequence, getting pending payments of Gaushala etc. made and sending the demand on time, getting MNREGA's permanent works done in every village in the ratio of 60-40, getting ID estimate issued immediately as per the demand of the Gram Panchayat, appointing a sanitation worker in every village, giving priority to the Gram Panchayats of the flood area, getting the geo tag received on time. On the other hand, BDO Monika Pathak said that she is ready to listen to all the issues. If you want a solution, come and tell her. There are investigations of some people, which are being talked about by protesting to divert the issue. Wrong things of no one will be accepted. About sixty Pradhans participated in the protest.
