For the passengers traveling in Namo Bharat trains in the operated section of the country's first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), NCRTC has updated the RRTS Connect app, which is available on Google Play Store and Apple Store. Along with ticket booking, many other new features have also been added to this app for the convenience of the passengers, which are making the journey of the passengers very comfortable and convenient.

RRTS spokesperson Puneet Vats said that through the Connect app, passengers book tickets for their journey by going to Plan Your Journey, which can be purchased by making payment through UPI, debit card, credit card and net banking. Also, by going to the transaction history, passengers can get information about all their previous journeys and can also download its bill.

He informed that NCRTC has also started live train tracking facility which will show the passenger the actual status of Namo Bharat trains available in the next 30 minutes at his station and its complete tracking. Along with this, it will also tell the passenger which will be the next station in the direction of Delhi or Meerut and at what distance and in how many minutes Namo Bharat train will reach you there. It also provides the complete time table of train service starting and ending at night on all days of the week.

He said that the option of feeder bus service is also given in the app. With its help, passengers can get detailed information about feeder bus services for last mile connectivity. And one can also know the details of all the bus stops available for coming and going from the place of starting of the journey to the nearest RRTS station. The arrival and departure time of the bus at these bus stops is also given, so that passengers can plan their journey accordingly.

He said that not only this, RRTS passengers have also been given a link to the Rapido app to book bikes, autos and cabs at the stations, with the help of which passengers can book their ride directly in the Rapido app with just one click. Passengers have also been given the option of “Station Facilities” in the RRTS Connect app. Under this option, the app will first show the passengers the name of their nearest RRTS station. This feature will also tell where this station is located and what is its nearest milestone.

He told that with this feature, it is also known in which part of the station facilities like drinking water and washrooms are available. Along with this, information about the different entry and exit gates of the station is also known. Also, which entry and exit gate is open for passengers. Information about the platform is also available on this, that from which platform the train going in which direction will be available.

The app also provides information about the lifts and escalators available at the station, which lifts or escalators are in service for the passengers. If any lift or escalator is not in use, then information about it is also available. In the option of Station Facilities, passengers will also get complete information about how many parking lots are available at the station and how many two-wheelers and four-wheelers can be parked in which parking. The complete layout design of the station can also be seen in this feature. Along with this, the contact number of the station control room will also be available here. If any passenger needs any help from the station control room, then they can contact the number given there. Passengers can also send WhatsApp messages to the number of the concerned station control room for any kind of help or suggestion.
