Prayagraj, 20 September (HS). Allahabad High Court has given time to present a concrete plan for regularization of more than one thousand temporary-ad hoc teachers appointed between 7 August 1993 and December 2000. It has been said that if the affidavit is not filed along with the plan, then Additional Chief Secretary Secondary Lucknow should be present at the time of hearing on 27 September.

This order has been given by Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal while hearing the petition of Vinod Kumar Srivastava. The Additional Advocate General told the court that the government order of 9 November 23 to stop the salary of ad-hoc teachers before 2000 will be amended and a new government order will be issued in a week. Everyone will be paid salary. The Additional Advocate General admitted that the Regional Selection Committee has made some technical mistake while considering the application for regularization of teachers. The government will bring a concrete plan.

The counsel for the petitioner said that the case should be sent back to the selection committee so that it can send a new recommendation as per the law. The committee had taken the decision by ignoring the law on the basis of the government order. But the Additional Advocate General said that there is no need, the government is taking steps on its own.

The court said that the hearing has been going on for a long time, nothing has been presented in black and white in the court. The government should present its plan by filing an affidavit within a week. Earlier, the government had said that the government is also considering giving salary to these teachers but a decision should be taken on regularization first.

The counsel for the petitioner said that the government is only looking at 33G(8) whereas it should consider the entire scheme of 33G. The government is confused about section 33GA. It was said that the court has given an interim order directing to pay salary to the teachers and continue their service. Despite this, the government has stopped the payment of salary from 8 November 23. The special appeal and SLP against the order have been dismissed.
