confirmed train ticket : Union Railway and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that in the next five years, any passenger will easily get a confirmed ticket during rail travel, this is the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Vaishnav said that in the last 10 years, PM Modi has brought unprecedented changes in the Railways.
The Union Minister emphasized that in the next five years, PM Modi's guarantee is that the capacity of the Railways will increase so much that almost every passenger traveling can easily get a confirmed ticket.
Tracks are being built rapidly
Giving an example of the changes that have taken place in Indian Railways in the last decade, the Union Minister said that in the process of building railway tracks, about 17,000 kilometers of tracks were built between 2004 and 2014.
Ashwini Vaishnav said- 31000 kilometers of new tracks were built from 2014 to 2024. In the 10 years from 2004 to 2014, only 5000 km of railway track was electrified. Whereas in the last 10 years an astonishing 44000 kilometers of railway tracks have been electrified.
54000 coaches made in 10 years
Ashwini Vaishnav further said- Only 32000 coaches were made from 2004-2014. 54000 coaches have been made in the last 10 years. At the same time, not a single kilometer of the corridor was made operational before 2014 for goods transportation. Now, two dedicated freight corridors of 2,734 km are operational.”
In the next five years, Railways, a strong link in the development of the country's economy, will be further strengthened and especially passenger facilities will be expanded rapidly.
