For this, the Yogi government is going to deploy specialist doctors in the district hospital as well as in the primary health centers near their homes. Its benefit will directly go to those patients who lose their lives due to lack of money in serious diseases. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the online application process has been started under reverse bidding for the deployment of doctors in government hospitals. At the same time, to attract specialist doctors towards government hospitals, the Yogi government has also announced an increase in their salary.

Principal Secretary, Medical Health and Family Welfare Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma said that as per the wishes of CM Yogi, instructions were given to deploy specialist doctors in district hospitals and CHCs to provide treatment to the patients of the state. In the same sequence, 1056 specialist doctors are to be deployed on contract through reverse bidding in 24 special categories under the National Health Mission. In such a situation, their salary has also been revised to attract doctors towards government hospitals. Under this, the department has made a provision to give salary up to five lakh rupees per month to specialist doctors. Earlier it was up to 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees per month. He said that doctors will be deployed at district hospitals and PHCs on the basis of L-1 to L-3 rate.

Medical Health and Family Welfare Secretary and NHM Director General Dr. Pinky Jowal said that among the 24 special categories, the highest number of applications have been sought for 264 posts of anesthetist. Similarly, applications have been sought for 181 posts of pediatrician, 178 posts of general physician, 147 posts of gynecology, 126 posts of medicine, 79 posts of surgeon, 48 posts of orthopedic and 45 posts of radiologist. Apart from this, applications have also been sought for vacant posts of other special categories. She said that specialist doctors will be deployed in other districts including 61 in Lucknow, 41 in Varanasi, 24 in Kannauj, 23 in Azamgarh. Interested doctors can apply on http://nhmrect.upnrhm.gov.in till 12 noon on 5 September. The Director General said that till 5 pm on August 12, 728 interested doctors have registered for the vacant posts, while 216 have submitted their applications.
