Baby John Box Office Collection Day 9: Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh starrer film ‘Baby John’ seems to be struggling to survive at the box office. Despite huge promotions and a great action thriller, the film failed to draw audiences to the theatres. The film’s earnings fell drastically in the first week of its release, and now even after 9 days it has not crossed the Rs 50 crore mark.

Box office collection of ‘Baby John’ on 9th day

The producers and fans of the film were hopeful that the involvement of Jawan director Atlee and the star power of Varun Dhawan would make the film a blockbuster. But ‘Baby John’ broke the expectations in theatres.
The film took a decent start on its opening day, but the collections started declining from the second day itself.
While Pushpa 2 is breaking records at the box office even after 29 days, ‘Baby John’ is having to struggle hard to survive.

The collection for 9 days is as follows:

  • Day 1: ₹11.25 crore
  • Day 2: ₹4.75 crore
  • Day 3: ₹3.65 crore
  • Day 4: ₹4.25 crore
  • Day five: ₹4.75 crore
  • Day 6: ₹1.85 crore
  • Day 7: ₹2.15 crore
  • Day 8: ₹2.75 crore
  • Day 9: ₹1.00 crore (Early Trend Report)

50 crore mark is still far away

‘Baby John’ is the official remake of the 2016 Tamil superhit film ‘Theri’. While Thalapathy Vijay’s performance was considered iconic, Varun Dhawan’s film was not appreciated much by the audience.
The condition of the film is so bad that it could not even benefit from the Christmas and New Year holidays. Even after 9 days, the film has not been able to touch the Rs 50 crore mark and now it seems that it is taking its last breaths at the box office.

What went wrong with ‘Baby John’?

  1. Pushpa 2 Dominance:
The success of Pushpa 2 at the box office was such that ‘Baby John’ did not get any chance.
  2. Weak Content:
The film’s content and adaptation disappointed audiences.
  3. Lack of mouth publicity:
Due to poor reviews from the audience, the film did not get the benefit of mouth publicity.
