While you have to pay a fee of Rs 1500 for getting a passport made in the normal way, you have to pay extra money for getting an instant passport.
To get an instant passport, you will have to pay Rs 500 more than the normal passport. That means the total fee for this will be Rs 2000.
Sometimes police verification is not required for instant passport. For this you need some documents which include Aadhar card, voter card, birth certificate, PAN card and photo.
