An Indian-origin couple and their daughter died under mysterious circumstances in a “suspicious” fire at a house in Ontario, Canada. Regarding the entire incident, the police said that on March 7, a fire broke out in a house in Brampton. Local police said on Friday. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene and after the fire was extinguished, some suspected human remains were found among the charred remains. But his identity could not be established immediately.
Forensic and DNA sampling on Friday identified the deceased as three members of the same family, Rajeev Wariku (51), his wife Shilpa Kotha (47) and their 16-year-old daughter Mehak Wariku. Police said the family was inside the house before the fire broke out. Lees Constable Taryn Young said the exact cause of the fire has not been determined and the circumstances behind it are being treated as “suspicious”.
“At this time, we are investigating this with our investigative team, and we are treating it as suspicious because the Ontario Fire Marshal has determined that this fire was not accidental.” When the police officer was asked the reason for the fire, he said that nothing was left. I'm sure it's very difficult when there's nothing left to see.”
Kenneth Yusuf, a neighbor of the deceased family, said they had been living here for about 15 years without any apparent problem. Yusuf said the fire was reported to him last week by a family member who heard a loud explosion. He described the scene as tragic and said that the entire house was engulfed in flames and reduced to debris within a few hours.
In an official statement, police said their investigation into the death of the three family members was ongoing. He urged anyone with any relevant information or video footage, including dashcam recordings, to pass it on to investigators.
