Lucknow, July 16 (HS). The agriculture department has an important role in taking the state's economy to one trillion. For this, special attention is being paid to quality along with increasing the production capacity of crops. Farmers should make necessary improvements in their products to improve quality and increase the demand for their products in foreign markets. These things were said by the state's Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi on Tuesday. He was holding a meeting with officials in his chamber in the Vidhan Sabha.

The Agriculture Minister directed the representatives of the Daylight organization to conduct a survey at the ground level to further improve the work being done under the Agriculture Department. He said that Daylight should ensure target setting for the Agriculture Department by holding a meeting with the departmental officials, so that the targets can be achieved in a timely manner. He directed the representatives of Daylight to prepare the action plan being made for the Agriculture Department in a better manner and also to fix a time frame in it.

The Agriculture Minister said that along with providing foreign markets to the products of the farmers of the state, fairs should also be organized abroad so that people abroad can know about the products of the farmers of the state and can demand them. He said that to improve the quality of products as per foreign countries, new laboratories are being opened while updating the laboratories established in the state.

He said that the Yogi government is providing all possible help to the farmers of the state. The state government is giving various subsidies to the farmers from seeds to export. During this, many senior officials of the Agriculture Department including Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh, Chief Minister's Advisor Avnish Awasthi, Secretary Agriculture Anurag Yadav were present.
