Ghaziabad, June 28 (HS). Uttar Pradesh's first City Eve Accelerator workshop was held in Ghaziabad near Delhi on Friday. In the workshop, brainstorming took place for hours on increasing the number of electronic vehicles. Officials and experts from Delhi Government, Municipal Corporation, GDA, Administration and other government departments participated.

Mayor Sunita Dayal also appealed to the officials to provide a better environment to increase the use of electric vehicles. She said that the use of electric vehicles will provide a clean environment to the city.

District Magistrate Indra Vikram Singh motivated the people present in the program towards electronic vehicles and encouraged everyone to unite and adopt electronic vehicles in order to make the city pollution free. He also appealed to more and more industries to participate in this. He said that the vehicle manufacturers should focus on electric vehicles and the plan to create charging points in the city as much as possible should be made successful.

In the workshop, Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Malik said that Ghaziabad will soon be prepared as an electric vehicle lighthouse in the coming 6 to 7 months. Due to which other municipal corporations will also work on the same lines. He said that at present 50 e-buses are also working in the metropolis, e-rickshaws of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation are also working and preparations are being made to make other vehicles on electric basis. Ghaziabad is the first municipal corporation in Uttar Pradesh Municipal Corporation where a workshop of electric vehicles was organized.

He told that special work is going on on electric vehicles in Lucknow, Kanpur and Ghaziabad. After the workshop, different panel discussions were also held in which everyone shared their views on electric vehicles. Preparations are being made to install more than 25 electric points and more than 110 charging points in the city.
