Varanasi, 17 August (HS). On Saturday, girl students also came out on the streets to protest against the Kolkata rape-murder case. The girl students of Agrasen Kanya PG College located in Maidagin Bulanala protested with their teachers and demanded that the rapist-murderer be hanged. Waving handwritten placards, the girl students said that for justice, hanging the accused is necessary. Injustice against women must stop.

On the other hand, the strike of resident doctors in BHU Sir Sunder Lal Hospital continued for the fifth consecutive day regarding the Kolkata rape-murder case. About a thousand residents of the hospital have been protesting against the Kolkata incident since morning. The strike has affected the arrangements of OPD, surgery and wards as well as emergency services. Patients in emergency and OPD are suffering from pain. Seeing the strike getting prolonged, many patients resorted to private hospitals.

Before this, on Friday late evening, the residents took out a candle march wearing black bands on their arms. Along with the All India Federation of Doctors Association, doctors of government hospitals are also supporting the strike.
